Barbera d’Alba D.O.C (controlled origin denomination)

This is the most grown and most famous grapevine in Piedmont, and it has been widely planted in the Alba area. The Barbera d’Alba is considered a superior wine, and it improves in the bottle, where it can stay even for some years.

Grapevine species: barbera.
Colour: intense ruby red, which, with ageing, becomes garnet red.
Bouquet: wide and marked, fragrant and with fruity flavours.
Sapore: dry, fresh in the mouth for the acidity characterizing it; it refines with ageing, and it gets more harmonious characteristics.
Serving temperature: 20°C.
Foods to be served with: perfect with roast beef, pork and game.
